In a bold reaffirmation of his administration’s dedication to grassroots progress, the Governor of Adamawa State, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has pledged to intensify efforts towards rural development, infrastructure expansion, and the promotion of peace and security. Taking to his official X handle, the governor emphasized the importance of prioritizing the well-being of citizens and ensuring sustainable progress for all.

Governor Fintiri revealed that his administration remains steadfast in its resolve to tackle security challenges and foster a peaceful atmosphere that will spur economic growth across the state. Central to his development agenda is the ongoing effort to connect rural areas through improved infrastructure, particularly the Jada-Mbulo-Ganye road project. This vital link is set to enhance commerce, ease transportation, and boost economic activities in the region, reinforcing Adamawa’s position as a hub for agricultural and business opportunities.

The governor made this declaration yesterday during a strategic meeting at the Government House Banquet Hall in Yola, attended by the Gangwari Ganye, Alhaji Umaru Adamu Sanda, and other prominent leaders of Ganye Chiefdom. Addressing the gathering, Governor Fintiri expressed his appreciation for the traditional leadership’s role in maintaining social cohesion and promoting unity within the state.

“Our commitment to rural development goes beyond rhetoric. By connecting our communities and investing in security, we are laying the foundation for a future where every citizen thrives. The Jada-Mbulo-Ganye road project is a testament to our determination to unlock the economic potential of our rural areas,” Fintiri stated.

He further assured the leaders that his administration will continue to prioritize initiatives aimed at improving the quality of life for all citizens, with a particular focus on education, healthcare, and agriculture. Stressing the importance of collaboration, Fintiri called on traditional rulers and stakeholders to support the government’s efforts in addressing security concerns and ensuring peaceful coexistence among the diverse communities in Adamawa.

The Gangwari Ganye, Alhaji Umaru Adamu Sanda, lauded the governor’s developmental strides and expressed the chiefdom’s unwavering support for his administration’s vision. “The progress we have seen under Governor Fintiri’s leadership is commendable, and we are committed to working together to achieve even greater milestones for our people,” the traditional ruler remarked.

The meeting underscores the governor’s inclusive leadership approach, seeking input and support from traditional institutions to drive sustainable development. As Adamawa State continues its march towards progress, the administration’s focus on rural infrastructure and security highlights a commitment to building a more prosperous and united future for all.
