Swift Victory: Troops Recover Stolen Cattle from Notorious Lakurawa Terrorists in Daring Sokoto Operation

In a decisive operation, Nigerian troops struck a significant blow against terrorism in Sokoto State, reclaiming dozens of stolen cattle from suspected Lakurawa terrorists. Renowned security analyst and counterinsurgency expert Zagazola Makama broke the news on his official X handle, lauding the military’s rapid response and effective coordination.



Acting on credible intelligence, troops from the Headquarters 1 Brigade and 1 Battalion mobilized swiftly to Kalgo village after sightings of suspected terrorists were reported in the area. Sources revealed that the operation was meticulously planned and led by the Commander of 1 Brigade, who ensured a coordinated and precise approach.

Upon sensing the troops’ advance, the suspected terrorists fled, abandoning 38 rustled cattle in their haste. The operation unfolded seamlessly, without incident, underscoring the military’s growing success in countering insurgency threats and recovering stolen resources.



In a commendable act of diligence and community support, the recovered livestock was promptly returned to its rightful owners in Mera village, Augie Local Government Area of Kebbi State.
