The Adamawa State Police Command has announced the promotion and decoration of several Traffic Wardens, marking a momentous day for the command as it honors dedication and excellence in service. In a post shared on the command’s official X (formerly Twitter) handle, the Commissioner of Police, CP Dankombo Morris, PSC (+), led the ceremony on November 1, 2024, where officers were elevated to the rank of Senior Traffic Warden (STW) following their promotion from Traffic Warden Grade One (TW Grd I). This event reflects a broader commitment to personnel welfare under the recent initiatives introduced by the Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun, Ph.D., NPM.
In his congratulatory remarks, CP Dankombo Morris praised the newly promoted Traffic Wardens for their tireless dedication to ensuring traffic flow and safety within the state. “This promotion is a testament to your exemplary commitment, and I urge each of you to embrace the responsibilities that come with your new rank. Uphold the high standards and discipline that make a difference on our roads,” Morris stated, addressing the officers. His words underscored a renewed emphasis on impactful service, community trust, and operational efficiency within the Adamawa Police Command.
Among the notable beneficiaries of this promotion is the spirited Hussaini Jidauna, known for his charismatic style and ‘dancing’ technique while directing traffic at AA Lawan Junction. Jidauna, along with colleagues Onimisi John and Augustina Charles, received enthusiastic recognition from attendees, symbolizing the commendable service that the Adamawa Police Command aims to inspire and reward.
This ceremony not only highlights the achievements of these individuals but also reaffirms the force’s commitment to supporting officers’ welfare, fostering motivation, and recognizing the contributions of personnel whose efforts ensure the safety and order of the state’s roadways.
