In an exemplary act of patriotism and compassion, the Adamawa State Police Command has proudly announced that ASP Idris Ahmed Wadata, the Secretary to the Commissioner of Police, CP Dankombo Morris, PSC (+), has made a remarkable donation to the Borno State Government to support victims of the recent devastating floods in Maiduguri.

On October 19, 2024, ASP Wadata contributed essential food items, including 10 cartons of Indomie noodles and seven bags of rice, along with a cash donation of ₦50,000. This heartfelt gesture was aimed at providing immediate relief to the flood victims, many of whom were left in dire need of assistance after the natural disaster.
The donation was received by Professor Umar Ibrahim, Chairman of the Borno Flood Committee, who expressed deep gratitude for the officer’s kindness. He emphasized that ASP Wadata’s action was not only a reflection of his personal compassion but also of the values the police force upholds—service to humanity and dedication to community welfare.

Commissioner of Police, CP Dankombo Morris, praised ASP Wadata for his selflessness, highlighting the donation as a testament to the officer’s commitment to social responsibility. “Acts like these remind us that the police are not just enforcers of the law but also custodians of the people’s well-being,” he stated.
This noble gesture by ASP Wadata stands as a beacon of hope and a reminder of the role the Nigerian Police Force can play in uplifting communities during times of crisis.
