Makama clarified that Brig. Gen. MS Adamu, an officer of impeccable service record, was wrongfully accused last month due to a case of mistaken identity. The officer’s only “crime” was sharing the same name with Lt. Col. MS Adamu, the real figure involved in the matter. This unfortunate confusion led to public outrage and unfounded allegations against the wrong individual.
Brig. Gen. MS Adamu’s commitment to his duties and the nation remains untarnished despite the false accusations. Makama emphasized the importance of verifying facts before drawing conclusions, especially when it comes to matters involving the reputations of dedicated officers.
