The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has struck a major blow against criminal networks operating within the region. In a decisive operation led by the Anti-Kidnapping Unit, four notorious kidnappers, responsible for a string of high-profile abductions, were arrested. These criminals, who have terrorized areas including Jabi, Dutse Village, Lugbe, and other parts of the FCT, were caught just as they were planning further kidnappings within Abuja and Niger State.

SP Josephine Adeh, the FCT Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), took to her official X (formerly Twitter) handle to announce the success of the operation, revealing that the suspects had confessed to being behind numerous kidnapping operations spanning Kaduna, Niger, and the FCT. During their criminal spree, they abducted multiple victims and were responsible for the gruesome killing of over seven individuals.
In a thrilling turn of events, law enforcement officers intercepted and apprehended the gang before they could carry out their next attack. This swift action not only prevented further loss of life but also brought an end to a reign of terror that had gripped the region for months.
The FCT Police Command remains steadfast in its commitment to ensuring the safety and security of residents, vowing to continue rooting out criminal elements from the nation’s capital.
