In a bold statement on its official X (formerly Twitter) handle, the Peter Obi Grassroots Mobilization team has raised alarm over alleged electoral malpractice, following the recent announcement of vote counts in a polling unit. According to the group, accredited voters at the polling unit were recorded as 213, yet the All Progressives Congress (APC) reportedly amassed 352 votes—a clear contradiction of the figures.
The mobilization team did not mince words, accusing the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) of orchestrating what they termed “a fraudulent manipulation of the democratic process.” They went further, calling INEC “a criminal organization” and asserting that such discrepancies severely undermine the integrity of Nigeria’s electoral system.
These allegations add fuel to the growing concerns about the transparency and fairness of elections in the country, with many calling for urgent reforms within INEC to restore public confidence.
As tensions rise, the Peter Obi Grassroots Mobilization group vowed to continue exposing irregularities, standing firmly in defense of democratic values and the will of the people.
