Renowned security analyst and counterinsurgency expert, Zagazola Makama, has revealed new developments in the ongoing military operations against notorious bandit leader, Bello Turji. In a statement shared via his official X (formerly Twitter) account, Makama detailed how Turji has been relentlessly forced to abandon his strongholds due to intensified military pressure.
According to Makama, Turji’s situation has grown increasingly precarious, with the warlord now constantly on the run. He can no longer settle in one location and is being driven from forest to forest, unable to establish a safe base. “He moves from the SHINKAFI forest to TSAFE, from ISA to SABON BIRNI, evading the military’s persistent pursuit,” Makama wrote, painting a vivid picture of Turji’s deteriorating position.
The military’s unyielding efforts have cornered Turji, leaving him with no sanctuary as he scrambles to escape capture. This development marks a significant blow to his operations, as his constant movement across forests hampers his ability to regroup and launch coordinated attacks.
