In a bold stride toward revitalizing education in Kano State, Governor Abba Yusuf Kabir has reopened the Kano Informatics Institute, Kura, marking a triumphant return to academic activities after an eight-year hiatus. “With a full sense of satisfaction and accomplishment, I reopened the Kano Informatics Institute, Kura, with 250 new intakes for the continuation of academic activities,” Governor Yusuf proudly announced.
The institute, which was shuttered by the previous administration, will now resume its vital role in fostering technological skills and innovation. In a symbolic gesture of progress, the governor personally handed out Letters of Admission to the 250 newly enrolled students during a formal ceremony in Kura.
Beyond this, Governor Yusuf unveiled a forward-thinking initiative by announcing the purchase of 50 houses near the campus to serve as staff quarters. This strategic move underscores his administration’s dedication to creating a conducive environment for both learning and teaching.
“Our administration remains steadfast in reopening all institutions of learning that were shut down by the previous administration. The reopening of the Kano Informatics Institute is a critical part of our commitment to advancing the digital economy and fostering technological innovation in Kano,” the governor added.
