Adamawa Press Limited Management Extends Condolences to ATV Yola GM Over Brother’s Passing

The management of Adamawa Press Limited (APL), publishers of the Scope Newspaper , paid a heartfelt condolence visit to the General Manager of ATV Yola, Mr. Tartius Wcliffe Kumdusi, following the untimely death of his brother, Hon. Jerry Kumdusi, earlier this week.



During the visit, APL’s newly appointed General Manager, Alhaji Zubairu Iya Abubakar, expressed profound sorrow over the loss, describing Hon. Jerry Kumdusi as a towering figure whose contributions transcended the family and deeply impacted the nation’s democratic fabric.

“Honourable Jerry Kumdusi’s passing is a monumental loss not just to the Kumdusi family but to the entire country. His role in fortifying Nigeria’s democracy cannot be overstated, and his legacy will continue to inspire generations,” Alhaji Zubairu remarked.



He further described the late Hon. Kumdusi as a true hero who made significant contributions to the development of Adamawa State and Nigeria as a whole. Alhaji Zubairu offered prayers for the departed soul and encouraged the family to find solace in the inevitability of death, noting, “It is a journey we all must take, and we pray for the strength to endure this difficult moment.”

In a moment of solidarity, the APL GM also used the occasion to seek further collaboration between APL and ATV Yola, underscoring the importance of mutual support between the media outlets. He expressed his gratitude to Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, affectionately referred to as the “Fresh Air Governor,” for entrusting him with the leadership of Adamawa Press Limited.

Responding to the visit, Mr. Tartius Wcliffe Kumdusi, General Manager of ATV Yola, expressed deep appreciation for the gesture, affirming that ATV Yola and APL Yola share a bond like that of a family.

“I am deeply moved by your visit. ATV Yola and APL Yola have always been like one big family, and this gesture further solidifies that bond,” he said.

Mr. Kumdusi also took the opportunity to congratulate Alhaji Zubairu on his recent appointment as the General Manager of APL. He praised him as a dedicated and competent leader with an in-depth understanding of the organization’s challenges and potential.

“I have no doubt that Alhaji Zubairu is the right man for the job. He is a true son of APL, someone who understands the pulse of the organization. We are confident in his ability to lead APL to greater heights,” Mr. Kumdusi added.
