Taraba State Launches Youth Training on Hydraform Technology to Bolster School Infrastructure Development

In a bold step towards transforming Taraba State’s educational landscape, Governor Agbu Kefas has announced the launch of a Youth Training Program under the Taraba Young Professionals Scheme. In his official statement shared on X (formerly Twitter), Governor Kefas revealed that 100 trainees will undergo intensive training on Hydraform Brick Moulding Technology, an innovative approach to sustainable construction.

The Hydraform technology, sourced from South Africa’s renowned Hydraform International, is a cutting-edge method for producing durable, environmentally friendly bricks. These trainees will be equipped with practical skills that will not only empower them but also contribute to the infrastructure revolution across all 16 local government areas (LGAs) of the state.

“Upon completing the training, participants will be deployed to different parts of the state to construct schools. This ensures that the buildings are erected with precision and in line with modern construction standards,” the governor emphasized.

The initiative is a cornerstone of the administration’s commitment to improving education through robust, long-lasting infrastructure. This ambitious program supports the free and compulsory primary and secondary education policy, which aims to make quality education accessible to all children in Taraba State.

Governor Kefas underscored that the use of Hydraform technology would not only enhance the durability and aesthetic appeal of the school structures but also provide a sustainable model for future public works projects.

“We are inching closer to fulfilling our pledge of good governance and quality education. The future of Taraba’s youth depends on both the quality of education they receive and the environment in which they learn. With this initiative, we are building a solid foundation for both,” he added.

This forward-thinking program is a testament to the administration’s dedication to youth empowerment and its vision for an inclusive, prosperous future for Taraba State. The integration of advanced technology in public works is expected to set a benchmark for other states in Nigeria, reinforcing Taraba’s commitment to sustainable development and educational excellence.
