Nigerian Army Activates Toll-Free Hotline for Enhanced Security Reporting under Operation SAFE HAVEN

In a proactive move to strengthen communication between security agencies and the public, the Nigerian Army has announced the launch of a new toll-free help line for Operation SAFE HAVEN (OPSH). The military high command, through its official X handle, unveiled this initiative aimed at improving the reporting of security emergencies and concerns within the region covered by the operation.

The newly activated toll-free number, 0800 000 20203, provides the public with a direct and efficient channel to relay urgent information and report security issues. This strategic move is designed to ensure that vital intelligence and emergency reports reach the Headquarters of Operation SAFE HAVEN promptly, enabling a rapid and effective response.

According to the Media Information Officer for Operation SAFE HAVEN, Major Samson Nantip Zhakom, this new development will empower the public to contribute actively to the security framework by reporting any breaches, threats, or emergencies in their communities. “We encourage the general public to make use of this toll-free number for immediate assistance on any security matters within the Operation SAFE HAVEN Joint Operations Area,” Zhakom stated.

This initiative reflects the Nigerian Army’s ongoing commitment to safeguarding lives and maintaining peace, particularly in areas covered by Operation SAFE HAVEN, which includes parts of Plateau, Bauchi, and Kaduna States. The hotline aims to bridge the gap between civilians and military personnel, allowing for faster, more coordinated responses to incidents that could threaten peace and stability.

The Operation SAFE HAVEN command reassures the public of its readiness to swiftly address any concerns or security challenges brought to its attention.

For any security emergencies, the public is urged to call the toll-free number 0800 000 20203.
