The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has announced the arrest of 46 suspected internet fraudsters in a coordinated operation within Warri, Delta State. The EFCC’s Benin Zonal Command carried out the operation on Sunday, September 8, 2024, following credible intelligence reports on the suspects’ alleged involvement in cybercrime activities.
In a statement posted on the commission’s official X handle, the EFCC disclosed that the suspects were apprehended at various locations in Warri, marking a significant move in the fight against internet-related fraud in the region.
