Unity in Diversity: Ganye Youths Patriotic Front Condemns Divisive Politics

In a strong and unequivocal response to the recent letter of marginalization purportedly authored by the Chamba PDP Members Movement of Ganye One Ward, the Ganye Youths Patriotic Front (GYPF) led by its chairman, Gangmaksen Sankong has raised concerns about the dangers of sowing discord and division among the diverse communities that have coexisted peacefully in Ganye Local Government for generations. The GYPF, a non-religious, non-ethnic, and non-political organization, has issued a stern warning against any attempts to fracture the unity that has been the bedrock of Ganye’s development and harmony.

Say No to Divisive Politics

The Ganye Youths Patriotic Front views the letter as a misguided effort by certain unscrupulous elements to incite discord among the Chamba, Fulani, Hausa, Mumuye, and other ethnic groups within Ganye. These communities have long lived together as a cohesive family, united by mutual respect and shared aspirations for progress and prosperity. The GYPF strongly believes that the pursuit of divisive politics is not only detrimental to the peace and stability of Ganye Local Government but is also an affront to the legacy of inclusiveness and unity that has characterized the area for decades.
Drawing parallels with the United States of America, the GYPF underscores that the strength of any community lies in its ability to embrace diversity without prejudice. In the U.S., people from different ethnic backgrounds and races are valued for their contributions, and leadership is determined by merit rather than ethnicity. The GYPF emphasizes that what matters most is the ability of an individual to deliver results and advance the common good, rather than their ethnic origin.
The GYPF cites the example of Walin Ganye, Alh. Sadiq Mohammed is an elder statesman who has consistently demonstrated his commitment to the welfare of all Ganye residents, regardless of their ethnic background. Walin Ganye’s numerous contributions to the community include sponsoring individuals from various ethnic groups on pilgrimages to the holy lands, advocating for inclusive federal programs that benefit the wider population, and spearheading empowerment initiatives that uplift women across all wards of Ganye Local Government. Walk in Ganye has also been lauded for his patriotism when he chaired the launching organized by the Sama Tikamen, donated the sum of five million nairas, and also influenced Atiku Abubakar Waziri Adamawa who also donated 18 seater bus to the association. His actions, rooted in fairness and inclusiveness, have earned him respect across ethnic lines and exemplify the spirit of unity that should guide political and social discourse in Ganye.
The Ganye Youths Patriotic Front also highlights Walin Ganye’s recent efforts in facilitating a skills acquisition training program for 300 women from all ten wards of Ganye Local Government. This program, aimed at combating poverty and promoting self-reliance, equipped women with valuable vocational skills such as soap making, tailoring, and fashion design. The success of this initiative, which was lauded by participants and observers alike, is a testament to the positive impact of inclusive leadership and the dangers of allowing divisive rhetoric to take root.
Furthermore, the GYPF reminds the Chamba PDP Members Movement that Walin Ganye has been a steadfast supporter of the Chamba people. His contributions to the community have been numerous and impactful, from sponsoring over two thousand Chamba individuals on religious pilgrimages to providing financial assistance for business ventures and political campaigns. His efforts to renovate the Ganye General Hospital, where many Chamba youths found employment, further illustrate his dedication to the well-being of all Ganye residents.
In light of these facts, the Ganye Youths Patriotic Front calls on all Chamba people, particularly those in Ganye One Ward, to reject divisive politics and embrace the spirit of brotherhood that has defined Ganye for generationsThe focus must remain on development and progress, ensuring that all residents, regardless of their ethnic background, are treated with fairness and respect.
As the GYPF continues to advocate for unity and inclusiveness, it urges the Chamba PDP Members Movement to reconsider its approach and work towards fostering a more cohesive and harmonious community. Ganye’s strength lies in its diversity, and it is only by embracing this diversity that true progress can be achieved.
In conclusion, the GanyYouth’s Patriotic Front stands firm in its commitment to promoting unity, peace, and development in the n Ganye Local Government. The organization will continue to resist any attempts to sow division and will work tirelessly to ensure that Ganye remains a beacon of harmony and inclusiveness for all its residents.
