In a decisive and coordinated crackdown on crime and terrorism, the 6 Brigade/Sector 3 Operation WHIRL STROKE, in a joint effort with other security agencies, has made remarkable strides in restoring order to Taraba State. This significant development was revealed by renowned security analyst and counterinsurgency expert, Zagazola Makama, through his official social media X platform.
The operations, meticulously executed across multiple Local Government Areas (LGAs) in Taraba State, have led to the arrest of a multitude of criminals, kidnappers, terrorists, and suspected bandits, dealing a heavy blow to the criminal networks terrorizing the region.
One of the most impactful strikes took place on August 18, 2024, when troops, armed with precise intelligence, stormed a notorious criminal hideout in Takum LGA. The operation culminated in the arrest of a high-profile suspect, David Musa, a known associate of the infamous kidnapping mastermind, Ephraim, also referred to as “Skin the Body.”
Musa’s capture is seen as a major victory in the ongoing war against organized crime. Early investigations have unveiled his deep ties to a sprawling criminal syndicate, and further interrogations are expected to shed light on the full extent of this shadowy network’s operations.
