“Femi Fani-Kayode Warns of Sinister Plots Behind Kaduna Protests”

Femi Fani-Kayode, the former Nigerian Minister of Aviation, has sounded an alarm regarding the recent turmoil in Kaduna. Utilizing his official social media X channel, Fani-Kayode expressed grave concerns about the escalating situation, which has led to a state of emergency in parts of the state. He suggested that the protests may be more complex and sinister than they appear on the surface.

“With the ugly events in Kaduna yesterday resulting in the declaration of a state of emergency, it is painfully obvious that there is more to these protests than meets the eye,” Fani-Kayode stated. He highlighted the presence of foreign flags among the protestors and their open calls for a coup, suggesting an international dimension to the unrest and local collaborators aiding this cause.

Fani-Kayode emphasized that the protests have shifted focus from issues of hunger and bad governance to an agenda aimed at regime change. “The ultimate objective of the protestors and their faceless sponsors is to engender carnage and chaos, pull down the whole system, and remove those elected in a free and fair election,” he asserted.

Commending the timely actions of Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State in attempting to curb the violence, Fani-Kayode urged the Federal Government to be firm and decisive. He called for an end to the violence before it spreads further, stressing the need to empower security agencies to restore law and order.

While acknowledging the significant challenges and hardships faced by the country, Fani-Kayode warned against allowing anti-democratic forces to control the narrative. “We must not allow dark, subterranean, and sinister forces, violent extremists, and unpatriotic hotheads to push Nigeria towards a Bangladesh-like coup or a Sudan-like civil war,” he cautioned.

Fani-Kayode’s statements reflect the heightened tensions and the critical need for decisive leadership to navigate the complex socio-political landscape and maintain stability in Nigeria.
