Borno Imposes 24-Hour Curfew Following Deadly IED Attack

In the wake of a tragic IED explosion that claimed 16 lives and left several others critically injured, the Borno State Government has imposed a 24-hour curfew to restore order and ensure the safety of its residents. The deadly attack occurred in the Kawori area, causing widespread panic and prompting immediate action from state authorities.

The Nigeria Police Force, along with other security and law enforcement agencies, is working tirelessly to maintain law and order in the state. In response to the incident, His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Borno State, Prof. Babagana Umar Zulum, in consultation with security heads, deemed it necessary to enforce a 24-hour curfew across the state. “We urge the good people of Borno State to remain calm and law-abiding during this period,” stated Nahun Daso, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) for the Borno State Police Command. “Further developments will be communicated accordingly.”
