The renowned security analyst and counter-insurgency expert Zagazola Makama announced on his social media X channel that the troops of Operation Desert Sanity and Operation Hadin Kai have achieved a significant victory by neutralizing two terrorists in the Sambisa axis of Bama Local Government Area of Borno State.
In a daring operation on July 30, 2024, the combined forces, which included the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) and the Hybrid Force, targeted terrorist enclaves in the Lantari, Mojori, Bula Malo, and Baramari villages in Bama LGA. According to intelligence sources, the operation not only resulted in the elimination of two terrorists but also sent others fleeing from the area.
The troops’ success was underscored by the recovery of substantial quantities of ammunition. The haul included 11 rounds of 7.62mm x 51mm, 23 rounds of 7.62mm x 39mm ball (special), 3 rounds of 5.56mm x 45mm NATO, and 3 empty magazines. Remarkably, the operation concluded without any casualties among the troops.
This operation marks another milestone in the ongoing efforts to reclaim and secure territories from terrorist control, reflecting the unwavering commitment and bravery of the Nigerian forces and their allies.
