Adamawa Police Command Urges Public to Shun Violent Protests

The Adamawa State Police Command has issued a stern warning against the proposed nationwide protest, emphasizing the potential dangers it poses. In a statement released via their Public Relations Officer (PPRO) on the Command’s official social media X channel, the police underscored their stance against protests, citing the risk of violence and disorder.

The Command highlighted that spreading violence is against the laws of the land. Any protest that results in maiming, loss of lives, or destruction of property, whether public or private, is unacceptable. The proposed nationwide protest, they noted, has a significant risk of being hijacked by thugs and escalating into violence.

The police urged all citizens and residents of Adamawa State to avoid actions that could lead to harm. They stressed the importance of thinking and acting wisely, cautioning the public against engaging in activities that could spiral out of control.

“Please, think and act wisely. Never embark on an action that has the potential to get out of hand,” the statement concluded.

The Adamawa State Police Command’s cautionary message is a call for peace and stability, urging everyone to consider the consequences of their actions and prioritize the safety and well-being of the community.
