Senator Bala A. Mohammed Calls for Urgent Revitalization of Educational Institutions to Advance Society

Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala A. Mohammed, recently underscored the critical need for revitalizing Nigeria’s educational institutions and curricula to propel societal advancement. In a passionate address shared on his official X handle, the Governor emphasized the importance of collaboration between stakeholders and government at all levels to achieve this goal.

“I emphasized the critical need for cooperation between stakeholders and governments at all levels to revitalize our educational institutions and curricula for the advancement of our society,” Governor Mohammed stated, reiterating his commitment to educational reform.

The Governor conveyed his message during a meeting at the Government House in Bauchi with the governing boards of the Federal University of Health and Sciences, Azare, and Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi. He expressed deep concern over the pressing issues of youth unemployment and social vices, highlighting that modernizing the curriculum to include current technological advancements could mitigate these challenges.

“Updating our curriculum to incorporate current technological advancements is essential for addressing youth unemployment and reducing social vices,” Governor Mohammed noted, stressing the urgent need for educational reforms to meet contemporary demands.

In their separate remarks, representatives of the federal universities lauded Governor Mohammed’s administration for its progressive policies and initiatives aimed at tackling educational challenges, such as the out-of-school syndrome. They assured the Governor of their unwavering support in the collective effort to build a better society.
