The Adamawa State Police Command has arrested Yahaya Balarabe, a 25-year-old man, for allegedly stabbing his close friend, Usman, to death and robbing him of N20,000 and a motorcycle.
According to a statement by the police command’s spokesperson, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, the incident occurred on July 17, 2024. Balarabe, who hails from Dage Village in the Ganye Local Government Area, accompanied Usman to his farm under the pretense of assisting him with spraying herbicides.

The gruesome crime came to light when the deceased’s family members reported his disappearance, leading to the discovery of material evidence at the crime scene that implicated Balarabe.
In his confession, Balarabe admitted to the heinous act, stating that his sole motive was to take possession of Usman’s motorcycle and the N20,000 cash.
Commissioner of Police, Dankombo Morris, expressed deep concern over the tragic incident and praised the operatives of the Ganye Divisional Police Headquarters for their swift action in apprehending the suspect. He commended their efforts in ensuring that justice will be served.
