In a move signaling a new era of governance and unity, Hon. Farouck Mohammed (BULDOZER) the executive chairman of Ganye Local Government, officially swore in ten councillors representing the ten wards of the local government area. The swearing-in ceremony, held at the Ganye Local Government Secretariat on the 18th of July 2024 was a significant event attended by local dignitaries, party members, and enthusiastic residents.

All ten councillors, elected under the banner of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), were charged by Chairman Mohammed to collaborate effectively for the rapid development of Ganye Local Government. “Your victory at the polls is a testament to the trust the people have placed in you. Now, we must work together, transcending individual interests, to ensure the progress and prosperity of our community,” Chairman Mohammed emphasized during his address.

The chairman, who himself is a member of the PDP and recently assumed office following a decisive victory in the local elections, expressed optimism about the future. He highlighted key areas for development, including infrastructure, education, healthcare, and youth empowerment. “This administration is committed to making impactful changes. However, achieving this requires the unwavering support and cooperation of every council member,” he added.

The newly inaugurated councillors echoed the chairman’s sentiments, pledging to dedicate themselves to the service of their constituents. Their collective resolve is expected to bring about substantial improvements across the ten wards, addressing longstanding issues and fostering a more inclusive governance model.

The ceremony concluded with a renewed call for unity and dedication to the shared vision of transforming Ganye Local Government into a model of effective local administration. As the councillors take up their duties, the community looks forward to a period marked by development, transparency, and responsive leadership.
