In a significant political event, Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State has officially sworn in 21 newly elected local government chairmen. The ceremony, held on Monday in Yola, marks a pivotal moment for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) following their sweeping victory in the recent local elections.

He highlighted that the election results reflect the electorate’s satisfaction with the current administration’s performance and its “Fresh Air” agenda.

“The results unequivocally show that the people of Adamawa are pleased with our administration’s initiatives and achievements,” Fintiri asserted. “This victory is a clear endorsement of the PDP’s commitment to progress and development in the state.”

Governor Fintiri urged the newly inaugurated chairmen to be inclusive in their leadership, emphasizing the importance of unity and collective progress. He also issued a stern warning against unnecessary travel outside their jurisdictions, underscoring the need for constant presence and dedication to their constituencies

“Government will not tolerate a situation where chairmen travel at will, neglecting their responsibilities,” Fintiri cautioned. “Your primary duty is to serve the people who have entrusted you with their mandate.”
