On Saturday 9 December 2023, Hundreds of well-wishers stormed the residence of Chief Imam Girei central mosque Sheik Abubakar Halilu to witness the wedding Fatiha of Malam Yahya Ibrahim and Malama Amina Abubakar (Bintu).
The colourful occassion has attracted many people from all walks of life including Clerics, Business tycons top Government functionaries and Traditional Leaders.
The wedding solemnisation was presided over by Chief Imam of Girei Sheik Abubakar Halilu Girei where the Bridegroom via proxy, paid the sum of Seventy thousand Naira (N70,000) as a bride dowry to the guidian of the bride different prayers were offered for the blessing of the couples
At the venue of the marriage solemnization apart from friends and well-wishers of the Bridegroom who were dressed gorgeously and exchanging pleasantly among themselves, the venue was filled up to the brim with people and flashy cars.
However The Bridegroom has organised a bifiting Walima where friends and well wishers refreshed themselves with different delicacies and drinks.
At the venue of the Walima an Islamic Cleric also Chairman council of Ulama of Jama’atul Izalatul Bidi’a Wa’ikamatul Sunnah, ( JIBWIS) Girei local Government Shekh Zubairu Mahmud Fari in his preaching called on Muslims youth to select a God fearing and honest lady as wife giving example with bride groom Malam Yahya Ibrahim for making a wise choice in selecting his bride Malama Amina.
The Clergy used the forum to pray to God to give them peace, understanding, and prosperity in their marriage life.
Speaking to the bridegroom shortly after tie-up the Knot to live as husband and wife for the rest of their life.
He said ” Today is my happiest day in life which will remain in diliable day in my mind. I thanked God for showing me the day and I appreciate all those far and near who came and witnessed the occasion.
