CCDA Leadership deserves a Pat On the Back. Philip B Adams

Chamba Cultural Development Association(CCDA) leadership deserves commendation from all and sundry for their selfless contributions to the growth of this great association.
They deserve acclamation for proving their worth as venerable leaders and maintaining their reputations and selfless posture as trusted leaders who came to serve but not to be served. The association was created by a few patriots to promote and protect Chamba’s cultural heritage.

However, its emergence ab initio failed to elicit sympathy within the Chamba community where its journey began. It was taken for granted, ridiculed, and disdained by some chamba fellows who myopically believed that nothing good would come out from Nazareth.
The association’s operations and its other activities were hitherto pervaded with an undercurrent of dread, as the founding fathers tried to nurture it amid the pervasive destitute and lackadaisical evince from fellow Chamba brethren, despite the impediments faced, the association forged ahead and later snowballed into the limelight via the help and the huge sacrifice made by these few Patriots who happens to be the pioneer leaders that Captain its activities from the scratch. These cohort believed that for Chamba people in Nigeria and beyond, to speak with one voice and become a force to be reckoned with in this present dynamic world, must be united regardless of their religion, ideology, and political affiliations. The leadership of this unique association has indeed paid their dues and will be remembered in the annals of the Chamba history.

General T.Y. Danjuma

It is also worthy to note that the CCDA leadership has done a great job by organizing the first unique Chamba Assembly and posterity will be kind to them. The gathering was commended and given a standing ovation by many different Chamba well-wishers across the globe. The gathering also brought Chamba sons and daughters from far, near, and outside the country to chart a new cause for the race, this further proves how altruistic the leadership of CCDA was. They work selflessly and tirelessly, doling out their widow’s might to achieve this great feat.
This group of gentlemen deserves to be applauded, and not the bashing meted upon them by some entities who don’t want to know how the association was nurtured from its nascent up to its present leviathan stage.

The leadership also needs to be celebrated for ensuring a democratic process by setting up the association’s new leadership. A level playground was provided to all members during the first general assembly, those who had an interest in contributing their quota to the development of the Chamba race via the political office of the association, contested for the office of their interests through an election which ushers in the new leadership.
The election of all the executives from its inception to the end was not a grope but a show of sagacity and good judgment by the delegates.
The new leadership of the association which cut across local governments, States, and the country in general, displays the spirit of brotherhood cum oneness as they continue with the quest of ensuring that the Chamba race has become a force to be reckoned with in Nigeria and the world in general, as envisaged by the founding fathers of the association(CCDA).
The recent cash distribution to the members of the association was another effort made by the leadership of the association which is also commendable.
It was learned that these leaders selflessly embarked on a courtesy visit to some prominent distinguished personalities across the country to source ways of placating the miserable state of their members. They met with those personalities and decried the plague of hardship that engulfed their people, with their well-designed articulated plan on how to mitigate it via the association if assisted. It was gathered that among the prominent personalities visited, it was in the course of visiting General T. Y Danjuma that turned things around for them. The General promised to assist the CCDA in embarking on projects and programs that will better the lives of its members and live up to expectations.
The promising General who kept to his word, later released some funds to the association as promised.

With their action plan already on ground, the CCDA leadership began its first empowerment program with cash distribution to the members of the association.
The cash distribution which was one of the programs designed by the CCDA leadership with the hope of deadening the effect of the present hardship tormenting the country on its members was greeted with vehemently strident castigation from some discordant.

The question begging for an answer here is; are these castigators of the CCDA leadership life changing programs members of the association or were they hired with a pittance to do so?

Can their deceptive hullabaloo negate or demoralized the CCDA leadership from perpetuating on its quest of ensuring the unity and progress of the Chamba race?

Fighting or trying to pull down the system which you belong to on some personal whimsical grounds, will yield you no favorable results rather than heart broken. Judas Iscariot betrayed Jesus and later hang himself.

CCDA leadership needs your advice on where they are found wanting and not this higgledy-piggledy criticism.
