The groups have applauded Bassi for proving his worth as a venerable politician and maintaining his reputation and accommodative posture as a trusted politician even after his election at the National Assembly.
A spokesman of one of the political groups, from Ganye one ward, Alh. Isa Salatu said “Bassi is a detribalised Nigerian, not minding the class, religion, tribe and culture or political party you belong. He humbly accepts everyone.
“Regardless of the present hardship that the country is passing through, the soft spoken politician respectfully addresses and responds to the crowd of people that throng to his Residence or called through phones respectively.

He is a politician of repute who believes in the grassroots and understands the frustrations of the masses.”
Salatu continued further: “Obviously, he is faced with the task of rebranding the political space in the current Ganye, Jada, Toungo and Mayo-Belwa federal constituency.
“He is our talisman. One of the most influential political giants, but full of humility; a silent achiever, who would never come out to blow his trumpet.
“Bassi is the only politician that throws open his doors and gates to receive and listen to the problems and challenges of people from his constituency and gives them attention”.
He described him as a humble, kindhearted, benevolent, peaceful, visionary leader with passion for the welfare and growth of his constituency.
“Hon. Bassi is a distinctive leader who leaves his doors wide open to Visitors unlike other politicians in the region who have no regards to the average citizen. He’s opening a new chapter in the political landscape of the region”, he said.
