New Education Policy:Govt Will Not Spare Saboteurs. Stanley Mijah, Jalingo

Governor Agbu Kefas of Taraba State has warned against any attempt by individuals, government officials, and groups to thwart the well-intended new educational policy of his administration to reposition the state on the petals of socio-economic growth and accelerated infrastructural development of the state.
Speaking to a cream of Journalists during a Media dialogue held at the executive chambers of Government House, Jalingo to mark one hundred days in office of his administration, the governor said that anyone found fighting against the new tide of development in the state will be tagged as a Saboteur.
He emphasized that his government would give the desired attention to the new policy and would not hesitate to deal decisively with any government official found frustrating the good intentions of the government to revamp the educational sector.
He further intimated that his administration is not only offering free education to its citizens but has approved free uniforms for students of school age, assuring that by January next year, the government would have concluded the distribution of free school Uniforms to public schools in the state.
Governor Agbu said that though one hundred days is not sufficient to determine the success of any administration, his government has demonstrated enough courage and zeal to move away from the culture of bad governance and underdevelopment at the early stage of his administration.
The governor said that the motive behind the organization of the Media Dialogue was to present himself as open to critical appraisal and criticism by members of the fourth estate of the realm, a development many described as a complete deviation from the past and genuine approach to stimulate good governance through an effective feedback mechanism.
