Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State has declared a 24-hour -curfew on the state following the dangerous dimension the activities of Hoodlooms have taken in the state capital.
A statement signed and made available to Pioneer by the Chief press secretary to the governor, Humashi Wonosikou indicated that the curfew which takes effect immediately was to forestall further escalation of crime and to save lives and property of citizens.

According to the statement, these Hoodlooms attack people with matchets, break into business premises and cart away people’s property.
The statement emphasized that there will be no movement throughout the state during the period of the curfew except those on essential duties with valid identification.
The Governor has appealed to citizens and Residents of the state to comply with the directive and warned that any person found contravening the order would be arrested and made to face the wrath of the law.
