Adamawa Polls:Fintiri Emerges Winner. Our Reporter

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State and the Gubernatorial Candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has been declared the winner of the gubernatorial supplementary election by polling 430861to defeat his female counterpart, Senator Aishatu Binani who polled 398788.
Declaring the winner of the election at the Yola Collation Center, the chief Collation officer and Returning Officer, Professor Mohammed Mele said Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri scored the highest of 430861to beat his major female opponent of APC, Senator Aishatu Binani during the election.
The supplementary election followed an earlier declaration of the Adamawa Polls as inconclusive by the Independent National Electoral Commission in the wake of perceived disruptions of the electoral process in the state.
The State was recently thrown into confusion when the Resident Electoral Commissioner, Alhaji Yunusa Hudu Ari unlawfully declared Senator Aishatu Binani as the winner of the supplementary election, leading to his suspension, arrest and prosecution.
