Adamawa Guber Re-run:INEC Voids Declaration of Winner. Our Reporter

The National Headquarters of the Independent National Electoral Commission has declared the recent declaration of Senator Aishatu Binani of the APC as the winner of the Adamawa Re-run Gubernatorial election by the State’s Resident Electoral Commissioner as null, void and of no effect.
The INEC Headquarters has also summoned the REC of the State, Alhaji Yunusa Hudu and the Returning Officer to the Headquarters with immediate effect to answer some questions.
A statement signed by the National Commissioner of Information and Voter Education, Barrister Festus Okoye indicates that the action of the REC is a usurpation of the powers of the Returning Officer and it is therefore null, void and of no effect.
INEC further directed the suspension of the collation of results of the supplementary election, stating that
the purported declaration of winner of the Adamawa Governorship election by the Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) even when the process was clearly not conclusive, was a flagrant abuse of responsibility.
