INEC Declares Adamawa Guber Polls Inconclusive.From Dolphin Max Stanley, Yola.

The Independent National Electoral Commission has declared the Adamawa gubernatorial election inconclusive following some electoral irregularities leading to the cancellation of a substantial number of votes considered to be enough to change the outcome of the election.
Declaring the election inconclusive at the Yola state collation center under a watertight security, the state Resident Electoral Commissioner, Alhaji Hudu Yunusa said that the cancellation of 37, 016 votes exceeds the 31, 249 margin of lead
According to him, the rerun election will be conducted in three Units under Song Gari, Michika 1 ward, six Units under Numan, and One Unit under Fufore Ukki Tukki ward on a date to be announced soon.

The March 18, 2023 gubernatorial election and the perceived delay in the final collation and declaration of winner of the election has created anxiety, frustration and public suspicion of deliberate attempt to manipulate the outcome of the election from the results of Fufore local government being awaited to conclude the collation of results for declaration.
The Fufore local government Returning officer, Dr Idi Hong had earlier raised an alarm of deliberate attempt to subvert the wishes of the Electorates by INEC when the collation of results from the Area was severally postponed after a handful of thugs invaded the local government collation centre to disrupt the electoral activity.
The tension and growing anxiety generated by the postponements of final collation and delay in the declaration of the results of the election had precipitated protests and civil unrest among Youths.
The Pioneer reports that the timely intervention of the Military and other security operatives drafted to maintain peace and other saved a possible ugly situation.
Our correspondent also reports that the former vice president, Alhaji Abubakar Atiku at a world press conference in Yola warned the electoral Umpire against any attempt to rig the election against the PDP and the attendant possible consequences owing to the multiple postponements of final collation and declaration of results.
