PDP Exposes Plot To Rig Adamawa Guber Election. From Dolphin Max Stanley, Yola.

There is growing anxiety and frustration over the delay for the submission of the result of the gubernatorial election for Fufore local government, the only result being awaited to conclude the collation of gubernatorial and House of Assembly elections at the state collation centre in Adamawa state.
There are also complaints, accusations and suspicion that the continued delay was deliberately intended to manipulate the electoral decision of the Electorates from the local government by INEC and the opposition Party, APC in the state
Though the sitting governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri is leading with the results collated so far, the PDP is crying foul over what it described as subtle conspiracy between the opposition party and INEC to subvert the wishes of the Electorates.
The returning officer of the PDP, Dr Idi Hong had raised an alarm on attempts to cook up a fictitious result to rig the election against the sitting governor who is already leading with votes.
He told journalists that while they were waiting for the remaining results from only two Wards after the collation of results from Nine Wards, some thugs invaded the local government collation centre in broad daylight and snatched away the papers in the presence of security operatives who never raised a finger or put up a resistance.
The returning officer also claimed that a leaked fabricated result of over thirty seven thousand votes for the opposition to overlap the PDP which is already leading the race is being considered for submission to INEC amidst controversy.
According to Idi Hong, the PDP already has the complete recorded results of the election from their Agents from the remaining two Wards, arguing that the leaked fabricated result in circulation is never a true reflection of the elections conducted at the remaining two Wards of the local government.
Answering questions from Journalists in the state over an alleged leaked telephone conversation between the Resident Electoral Commissioner of the State and an INEC official in respect of an official form for the filing of results and request for helping and favouring the APC Candidate, the REC who did not deny having a conversation said that there was nothing unusual about the forms but could not give convincing explanation on the request to favour the APC Candidate.
Meanwhile, the final collation and declaration of the winner of the gubernatorial election has been extended to hold by 10:00pm at the state collation center
