Court Verdict:APC Moves To Challenge Ban On Guber Candidate.From Dolphin Max Stanley, Yola.

The Adamawa state chapter of the All Progressive Congress (APC) has indicated it’s determination to challenge the judgement of the Federal High Court in Yola banning the gubernatorial candidate of the party, Sanator Aisha Dahiru Binani from participating in the 2023 election contest.
At a press briefing held at the Party Secretariat along Galadima Aminu Road jimeta Yola, the Secretary of the party, Dr. Raymond Chidama told Journalists that the party has come to the conclusion to head to the Appellate court to challenge the judgement of the Federal High Court after a critical meeting of the stake holders held recently.

He called on party supporters and well wishers to be calm and to exhibit maturity in the wake of the “harsh” court verdict saying that the stakeholders have taken the path of wisdom to appeal the verdict towards reclaiming the party’s mandate.
Our Correspondent reports that a Federal High Court sitting in Yola nullified the gubernatorial primaries of the APC which saw the emergence of the first ever female candidate contesting the governorship position in the North East sub region.
Presiding at the sitting, Justice Abdulaziz Anka declared that the party failed to comply with the party’s constitution and guidelines, Electoral Act and the laws of Independent Electoral Commission (INEC) during the purported primary election.
The court had ordered Senator Aishatu Ahmed Binanni to desist from parading herself as the gubernatorial candidate of the party in the state.
The Pioneer Chairman of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Malam Nuhu Ribadu, who was an Aspirant in the APC gubernotorial primary election had challenged the declaration of Binanni as the winner of the primary election conducted on May 27, 2022.
