Committed to the well-being and development of his people, the Executive Chairman of Toungo Local Government Area Hon. Suleman Gangkuba BLDR, has empowered hundreds of youths, elders and women of his local government with various empowerment tools that include sewing machines, fashion design (tailoring), 13 Motorcycles given to Village Heads across the 10 wards, 2 motorcycles given to each of the following departments of the local government, Health, Agric, Education and 1 to Works Department.
Also, 204 women were empowered with cash to support their businesses, security gadgets given to security agencies in order to enhance security efficiency in the Local Government.
Empowerment isn’t about giving people money; it’s about giving them power. One that cannot be taken away from them, and through which they can sustain themselves. When you make an impact in one family, you touch a community, which in turn impacts the nation. And that is what Hon. Suleman is trying to do with various programs of this nature.
Toungo Local Government is indeed witnessing a new dawn with the emergence of Hon. Suleman Ahmed Gangkuba, as a young, vibrant and agile person, his emergence as the executive chairman of Toungo Local Government is yielding a positive tremendous result in no distant time he spent in the office. Hon. Suleman is indeed a messiah to the vulnerable people of Toungo.
He has made Toungo people to felt the presence of the government by ensuring that the dividend of democracy has reach every household in Toungo Local Government Area. Hon. Suleman whose nascent administration has touched many lives, and in different areas will not be overemphasize. Apart from the empowerment program he embarks upon, he has also bought a three (3) new brand transformer to bring to an end, the incessant blackout which was often due to lack of transformer.
The chairman who always enjoys the company of his people, has made it clear and known to the world that the welfare of his people is his administration top priority, especially when it comes to given out succor to the needy, provision of basic facilities, renovating dilapidated places that will be of general benefit. In a brief interview session with our correspondent, an elder-state man whose name withheld, maintained that the chairman has performed creditably well and justified the trust and confidence people and the party had in him, which he said will made many people to rally round PDP candidates come 2023. He called on the beneficiaries of the empowerment programme to put the tools given to them into good use and desist from selling them off.
Hon. Suleman has indeed charted a path for the rapid socio-economic development of Toungo LGA. With his right roadmap and determination and the projects he has executed, he has already succeeded in writing his name in gold.
