The winner in the recent just concluded Peoples Democratic Party PDP primaries of Ganye, Jada, Toungo and Mayo-Belwa Federal Constituency Hon. Mohammed Inuwa Bassi has organised a football competition among the youths of his federal constituency in order to promote peaceful coexistence, unity and tackle youths’ restiveness in Ganye, Jada Toungo and Mayo-Belwa federal constituency.
Hon. Bassi who was ably represented by his campaign Director Genera Hon. Mahmud Gurum Pawo, made this known during the kick off of the match of the competition, tagged “Hon. Mohammed Inuwa Bassi Football Cup 2022”, which commenced between Gurum Nongvan FC and Kojoli FC on Sunday the 31st July 2022.
Hon. Bassi through his DG campaign, said that the competition was organised to promote unity, peaceful co-existence among his people irrespective of their affiliations.
“This competition is part of my continued commitment to promote sporting activities in Ganye, Jada, Toungo and Mayo-Belwa federal constituency.
“Also, to make the youths discover their hidden talents and potential for the development of our constituency, the state and the country at large.
“The importance of sporting activities like this cannot be overemphasised to the development of the youths and the society in general.
“Apart from enhancing physical fitness, football also promote unity, peace, love and tackle youths’ restiveness in the society.
The DG campaign of Hon. Mohammed Inuwa Bassi therefore called on youths and other Nigerians to continue to engage in meaningful acts that would make them self-reliant and better future leaders.
He appreciated all the constituents for giving Bassi their much-needed support to succeed during the just concluded PDP primaries. He assured the people of the quality representation at the green chamber in order to enable them enjoy more dividends of democracy if given the mandate.
Hon. Mahmud Gurum lauded Gov. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for his efforts in developing the state and called on the people of the state to re-elect the governor in 2023.
