PDP SUFFER A BIG LOSS AS ADAMAWA ASSEMBLY MAJORITY LEADER DEFECTED TO NNPP BY OUR CORRESPONDENT

The majority leader of the Adamawa State House of Assembly Hon. Yettisuri, on the 5th of July, 2022 announce his defection from Peoples Democratic Party PDP to New Nigeria Peoples Party NNPP.

This development came after the just concluded primaries which many political party stalwarts described the exercise as undemocratic and unacceptable due to the corrupt attitude exhibited by the delegates and the evince of parochial interest of some top political party office holders cum the influential top party members. This has indeed deprived many selfless quality candidates that can ensure greater happiness to the greater majority from scaling through.


Hon. Hammantukur Yettisuri made it known to his teaming supporters that his candidature is to give his federal constituency Ganye, Jada, Toungo, and Mayo-Belwa Local Governments, a sense of belonging. He promised to deliver if given the mandate, and also beseech the electorates to rally around the party to actualize their dreams. In the same vein, Hon. Yettisuri spur that his candidature is a decision from the grassroots and the respective stakeholders from his constituency. The fearless Yettisuri quoted a philosopher who maintains that ‘’Mass Mobilization for Justice made Democracy easy to operate, but man inclination to injustice makes Democracy not easy to operate’’ and this is how Nigerian politics is been operate today.

While responding to the questions from the Press men about the fear of declaring his seat vacant in the house as majority leader. He confidently pointed out that ‘’Leadership is all about sacrifice’’, he also stated that since 2019, he is serving as a majority leader in the House and thanked almighty God for making it possible for him to be alive, strong, and healthy, given him the privilege to serve his people. Hon. Yettisuri reiterated that, if he intends to be a leader, he has already become one, if it is to enrich himself, he is grateful to God, for he is contented with what the Almighty gave him.


By and large, the former acting Chief judge of the State who doubles as a stakeholder from Ganye chiefdom and an elder-stateman, Justice Ambrose Mamadi calls on all the electorate of Ganye, Jada, Toungo, and Mayo-Belwa Federal constituency to rally around Yettisuri and ensure that native Chamba has represent his people in Green chamber.
