The emergence of Prof. Maxwell Gidado, SAN, as the Chief of Staff to the Executive Governor of Adamawa State RT. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri was critically based on competence, prudence, excellence, and experience. The office of the Chief of Staff of the Adamawa State Government House is a very sensitive office that requires an incorruptible personality and an individual with good morals and integrity to spearhead the affairs of the said office. Many must have abused the office by doing things that are outside their job description, and this could have been tolerated because of either the leniency of the Governor or the directives of the Governor. Prof. Gidado is of course a disciplined academician and a prudent politician that believes in due process, and only act within the area of his job description., This is one principle of Prof. Maxwell Gidado, SAN, that no one can change or do anything about it.
He is a gentleman who does not blow his trumpet, like other politicians. I know of individuals whom he had assisted in one way or the other from Ganye chiefdom and beyond. For instance, during the Post Primary Schools Management Board job recruitment, he had given many unemployed youths that I know their appointments, many of which he never knew from Adam. There is a case of those who got appointed but absconded some procedures of the recruitment exercise, they Turned on the light, mobilized themselves, and sooner than later, came to Prof. For assistance, and there and then, the problem was resolved. There are many cases of transfer of service that he assisted people from Ganye chiefdom, some have been released while others are yet to be released. Many people are trooping to his residence and office for daily assistance and other requests, whom to the best of my knowledge are well attended to. One funny thing with assistance is that many who get assisted rarely testify to what has been given to them and Prof. Gidado does not blow his trumpet by showcasing the many individuals whom he has assisted. You cannot sit in the comfort of your house and expect the Chief of Staff to assist you in one way or the other, I dare you to visit his house or office and seek genuine assistance and see whether it is not going to be addressed.
I urge the good people of Ganye chiefdom to detach themselves from the politics of condemnation and sabotage for the wellbeing of all and sundry. The office of the Chief of Staff is assisting and will continue to assist the people of this chiefdom irrespective of religion and ethnicity. Prof. Maxwell Gidado, SAN, is a peace-loving citizen of Ganye who is working with the Fresh Air Governor and diligently discharging his duties within his reach for the benefit of Adamawa State entirely.
