All Progressives Congress(APC), gubernatorial Aspirants in Adamawa have warned against plans to substitute officially recognized delegates with new ones for the purpose of manipulating the outcome of the friday Primaries in the State.
The Aspirants, Hon Mustspha, Hon Abdulrazak Namdas and Hon Wafari Theman at a joint press conference in Yola, the Adamawa State capital warned that the alteration of the list of the original Delegates will no doubt attract stiff resistance and jeopardized the chances of the party in the forth general elections.
The Aspirants who described the move as unacceptable said that the party will not succumb to any form of
manipulation and injustice to jettison the agreed indirect primaries endorsed by the party.

“We have participated in elections previously, we lost some and we won some, there is nothing in it provided that the elections are credible.
“We experienced the pains in losing and the gains of winning, therefore we are not afraid of going to the polls. We are ready to support any aspirant that genuinely emerged victorious in the interest of the party,” the Aspirants said.

According to them, they have discussed with electoral officials of the party in Abuja who would be in Yola to organize and monitor the primaries to ensure that due process is not compromised.
The Aspirants further argued that they are fully aware of the legitimate list of delegates from various constituencies and would not fold their arms to watch any breach of process in the conduct of the party primaries, noting that the security has been adequately briefed of the evil plot for necessary action.
The approved delegates for the primaries include, Chairman and Secretary, five Adhoc State Delegates from each ward, State Executive ( Exco members), National Executive members, serving and Past Governors and Deputy Governor’s within the state, serving and Past National Assembly members, serving and National Assembly members, serving Elected Chairman and Vice Chairman of the council, serving elected Councilors from each Electoral ward and two selected women delegates each.
