Democracy as we all know is the concept of government of the people, for the people, and by the people.
Democracy and good governance provides opportunities for the people to elect representatives of their choice by exercising their franchise without hindrance.
Democracy as we are also aware is a universal political culture based on tolerance, co-operation, inclusiveness and restraint when dealing with political opponents, either within your party or outside your party.
This basic principles of tenets democracy allows the people with contrary view to ventilate their frustration with the majority carry all syndrome prevailing in our democratic system.
That’s why we should be sympathetic and tolerant to the views of held by some individuals within our Great party PDP, especially Gov. Myesom wike of Rivers state, on his opinion stand as far as his opinion is within the realms of the law, on ATIKU’s legitimate presidencial ambition .
On the other hand, good governance should also be based on representative Democracy, inclusiveness, participation, accountability, Constitutionalism and Rule of law, by the people and for the people.

For democracy to thrive successfully, those who acquire political power and the others in opposition must cooperate for the general good of the people in the society and the country at large.
Affirmatively, therefore, Democratic ideals and policies should be based on simple principles of equality of man before the law, where the duty of the strong or well-to-do, privileged individuals in our country is to respect the rights of the weak and less privileged, and the obligation of the few is to abide by the lawful will of the many.
