The security operatives in Ganye Local Government Area under the commanding leadership of the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) SP Nuhu Y. Mohammed has today been 23rd February,2023, gunned down two kidnappers at Foka Jaggu mountain in Ganye LGA, the team recovered one AK-47 with 19 empty shell. It was gathered that following an intelligent gathering, and in order to neutralize the kidnappers base, the security operatives ambushed the kidnappers where the two who were present at their base are shot to dead by the security team.
Reacting to the development, the caretaker committee chairman of Ganye LGA Alh. Jibril Ali Gangjari maintained that his position on criminal elements was public knowledge stating that the Local Government cannot accommodate any criminal who wants to deprive the people of their peace. He said the fresh air government has entrusted him with the responsibility of protecting the lives and property of the people and will ensure such a covenant is kept for posterity. The chairman commended the professional security operative’s synergy in the LGA for their tireless efforts in rooting out criminal elements in Ganye chiefdom.
