Dino Melaye asks APC ‘JAMB question’ over Gov Buni’s tenure as party chairman

Former Kogi West Senator, Dino Malaye, has asked the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) what he termed ‘JAMB question’ over the tenure of Governor Mai Buni as the national caretaker committee chairman of the party.

Melaye, a foundation member of APC but now a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), said the ruling party is now operating without a recourse to its own laws. The outspoken PDP chieftain stated this in a post on his Twitter’s handle on Monday, even as he described the continuous stay of Buni, who doubles as Yobe State governor as illegal.

He said: “Jamb Question. When did the NEC of APC approve the extension of the life span of Mai Buni as Caretaker Chairman? We are watching illegality romancing illegality. SDM”.

PlatinumPost reports that APC had on Monday announced the postponement of its national convention earlier scheduled for 26 February, 2022.The party, which has not fixed a new date for the national convention that was billed to usher in new leaders of the party, however, revealed it would hold its zonal convention next month.
