HON. MOHAMMED INUWA BASSI: CELEBRATING A TRAILBLAZER BY PHILIP BRANDFORD ADAMS

“The leader sets an example. Whether he is a political office holder or not, whether in the army or in civilian life; the other people in the organization or outside the organization take their cue from leaders not from what the leaders says, but what the leader does.” – Collin Powell

Hon. Bassi has no doubt become one of the most admired and reference political figure among both the political office holders and those who are not been given any political appointment in Adamawa State. His charismatic mien and ready to defend the downtrodden and criticism of even some activities in his political party have positioned him as a true champion of the people across the state.

As a true bonafied son of Ganye chiefdom, Bassi is always fearless and courageous in defending the people from his chiefdom politically and otherwise.

His tactical audacity has often flummoxed adversaries, his strategic acumen has wrong-footed opponents. In his quest to put smile on the faces of the mammoth crowd who rush to his house for help on daily basis, he seems to anticipate measures and countermeasures before they unfold and his political astuteness has set him apart as a visionary leader whose navigational compass has already configured all the political woes from his chiefdom and the State in general.

There is a saying that nothing good comes easy and the journey of life is not for the feeble-minded. It takes only men and women of great determination to reach and attain their goals and this succinctly defines Hon. Bassi political prowess, mentoring young ones to grow, giving succor to the needy and defending the defenseless.

It is germane to note that the Ganye chiefdom born, altruistic and a fiery political petrel, Mohammed Bassi is one of the greatest minds and a selfless trustworthy politician that one can rely upon, he is a politician who spent the rest of his life interacting and intermingling with the masses which my own findings proves to me that enables him to see for himself the challenges of poverty, destitution and which always spur him to look for responsible and compassionate politicians that can mitigate the miserable lives of the masses.

Like the word of Dr. Gary P. Hamel, an American management expert and founder of strategos, an international management consulting firm based in Chicago, that: “Trust is not simply a matter of truthfulness, or even constancy. It is also a matter of amity and goodwill. We have to trust those who have our best interest at heart, and mistrust those who seem deaf to our concerns,” Mohammed Bassi is a wise and trusted person, who has influenced many political appointments in Ganye chiefdom under the present burgeoning administration of His Excellency Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri. we have on earth in our contemporary world because of his towering and intimidating record of achievements. As a one-time Hon. Member of the state house of assembly representing Jada, Mbulo Local Government constituency, he has indeed left a legacy which today has been weighed on the scale of reality.

Just a shallow acquaintance with Mohammed Bassi portray him as a beacon of hope for his people because of his firm understanding of the game of politics.

His penchant for helping weak ones has been a source of inspiration to his people that will continue to generate the robust good will and unity of the people of Ganye chiefdom.

Mohammed Bassi a true democrat and one of the strong pillars of the people’s Democratic Party in Adamawa state.
