Impressed by the achievements recorded by the Adamawa State government, especially in the infrastructural aspect, curbing of insecurity and provision of scholarship to the Adamawa state students to study both at home and abroad, the former Adamawa State commissioner of works and Miwoba (1) of Ganye chiefdom Hon. Barr. Lilian Stephen Nabe, said she was impressed by the performance of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri. In an interview session with the Pioneer crew, Barr. Lilian spurred that, those who call Governor Fintiri as ATM Governor are indeed on point. Also, according to her, you can hardly fault those who address him in the admirable robe of an architect of new Adamawa State. Where you love or despise his politics or administration, you will recognize his footprints on the sand of development in the State. She pointed out that, Adamawa State under Governor Fintiri today is indeed in a hand of a caring baby sitter because the State is witnessing an unprecedented progress in the history of the State. His administration so far has washed off the age-long stigma of backwardness associated with the State. Adamawa state people are indeed proud of their selfless Governor she concurred. When asked why some politicians across the state are vehemently criticizing the Governor despite the developmental projects he embarks upon in the state. She said that is always normal in politics to be criticize no matter how selfless you are, but all she knows is that the rear attributes the Governor exhibited towards the leadership of the State has not only put him far ahead of his precursors but further endeared him to the hearts of the lowly ones in the State. She further pointed out that, no political leader in the world honestly performs beyond his God – given ability, competency or available resources at his disposal. Normally, a balance is struck between these two complimentary endowments. So, people criticizing or making demands on the Governor should be guided by these natural limits. Miwoba maintains that with the administrative and political wherewithal of the Governor, if you are opportune to pass through his political school, you will be armed with these qualities: selflessness, political maturity, doggedness, generosity and loyalty. The truth must be told that Fintiri is not just a leader because he enjoys a cult- like political followership, but also for maintaining merit in his administrative affairs of the State.
About delivering of the dividend of Democracy by the present administration in the state, Barr. Lilian stress that Fintiri has worked his fingers to the bones to deliver the desired dividends of democracy to his people in no distance time immediately after his assumption of office as the Governor. One of his unique features of his administration is transparency and his ability to carry people along in his policies and programs. He dedicated himself to providing leadership accountability by focusing mainly on programs that have direct benefits to the people, thereby reducing poverty and enhancing productivity. These programs he has executed immediately after his assumption of office as acting Governor then range from healthcare delivery, education and road project in some location of the State. Another Fintiri administration major achievement as acting Governor also includes the settlement of the worker’s salary arrears which was hitherto denied by some previous administrations, in fact the settlement of the worker’s salary arrears is what plug him from the political obscurity to a limelight of love by all and sundry across the state; also, the political appointment which set up his cabinet has cut across religion and tribal boundaries in the State said Barr. Lilian. She warned those who engages in futile criticism, baseless arguments and misplaced aggression simply because Governor Fintiri does not fall in the class of seat warming, visionless and unpatriotic leaders that abound in the country who are bereft of progressive ideas to move the State forward and whose every move is dogged by controversy and glaring lack of competence and focus should stop it. Barr. Lilian spurred that the enemies of the development of Adamawa State should take it or leave it, as a selfless true leader, Governor Fintiri remains a shining light in Adamawa State politics and beyond, he is not only just a leader because he enjoys a cult-like political followership, but also keeping to his words. With the early array of achievements in his kitty, alacrity to selfless and hardworking leadership style, therefore, support from the Adamawa state electorate is guaranteed whenever he needed it concurred Barr.
