Ganye Local Government caretaker committee chairman Alh. Jibril Ali Gangjari in line with his determination to boost the morale of security in Ganye LGA and to enhance their operational capacity to respond to crime and distress calls promptly and effectively, has donated five new motorcycle and seven thousand (N7,000.00) allowance every month to the local vigilante in order to help other security agencies of government in fighting brigand which has become so pervasive and bedeviled the Local government for quite some time now. Making the presentation at the Local Government secretariat on the 31st January,2022, chairman said the move was in line with his administration’s commitment to enhancing security in the Local Government Area and reducing crime. He assured the police for his continuous support of his administration to enhance capacity to mitigate crime in the LGA and ensure the security of lives and property of innocent Ganye people.
He, therefore, urged all the security operatives in the Local Government to demonstrate a greater resolve and redouble efforts in combatting crime.
Responding, the Ganye LGA Police divisional officer, SP Nuhu Y. Mohammed, who received the donations on behalf of the Vigilante, thanked the Chairman for his efforts to enhance security in the Local Government. He, at the same vein call on the Chairman to equally extend the gesture to the remote areas vigilante which he said will go a long way in fighting insecurity in the Local Government.
