In their quest to maintain peace and order, and to bring to an end the incessant scourge of kidnapping in Ganye chiefdom, police with other security operatives, Military and hunters led by the divisional police officer SP Nuhu Y. Mohammed has today been 21st of January 2022, engage kidnappers in gun battle at their tour on the mountainous areas across the chiefdom in order to dis-mantle the camp of the abductors. In the process of their debacle at the village called Lugga ibbi boarder with Cameroon, they were able to kill two of them and rescue two victims. The two victims who were said to be Halima Ishaku and Abdullahi Buba of Sulti Village, were taken to hospital by the police for medical checkup before escorting them back to their village. The same police team with military work with the local vigilante team day before yesterday where the team encounter with kidnappers at the Wadore village axis and engage them in a fierce gun battle, according to the reports, the kidnappers ran away living two victims in chain who one of them was said to be the imam of Wadore mosque. On their way back from the mountainous areas, the security operatives after rescuing the imam and his neighbor also came across some men who are not far away from the abductors camp and were also arrested because they were suspected to be accomplice too.
