KIDNAPPERS RAID COMMUNITY IN GANYE

Residents of a Daksam village at Timdore in Ganye Local Government of Adamawa State were in fear and confusion yesterday night, they could not sleep as the kidnappers raided their village. The kidnappers raided  the Village on the 17^th of January 2022 in the midnight, they escaped with an Igbo man, his wife and a village head. But the victims were fortunate enough as the angry community youths chase the abductors despite the volley of shooting, they could not withstand the mammoth of the community youths chasing them, they decided to let go the victims.

According to the reports, about ten armed men had emerge from the bush around the village and rush directly to the house of the victims. It was gathered that after the incident, the police with other security operatives who are making efforts to locate where the abductors were hiding came across some youths who were suspected to be local illicit drug dealers, they were arrested and taken to police station for interrogation and further investigation. It was on the process of trying to fathom the true reason why those suspects could stay up to that hour in the night that some youths were wrongly mis-inform that police have arrested the abductors who raided the Daksam village. The youths in hundreds rush to Ganye police Divisional office, asking the police to hand over the suspects to them to be kill. They caused serious commotion cum pandemonium, trying to even break the station gate. The police didn’t find it easy despite long explanation by the police divisional officer. Albeit the threat from the angry youths who demanded the instant punishment of the suspects, the brave SP Nuhu Y Mohammed was able to calm down the situation and promised that the suspect must be given the appropriate comeuppance of their crime after the investigation.
