The Executive chairman of Ganye Local Government Rev. Habila M. Istifanus has commended Tuesday’s hitch-free Local Government congress which witnessed the election of leaders of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the Local Government area. The chairman on Tuesday the 5th of October, 2021 after the conclusion of the exercise, noted that the Local Government has since become a perfect emblem of peaceful politics despite the challenges the LG PDP family faced in recent times.
Rev. Habila said the LG congress just like the recently held ward congress adopted a consensus system in electing the leaders, putting into consideration the choice and the will of the party members. He thanked party members for their continued cooperation in sustaining a peaceful and united PDP family.
The congress which was conducted by a team of PDP officials from the State headquarters, supervised by the officials of Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), has ensured free and fair election exercise where the party chairman Alh. Usman Sanda (BAJAU) was re-elected as the PDP party chairman of Ganye Local Government.
The LG PDP stake-holders secretary and the former Ganye Local Government Executive Chairman, Hon. Farouck Mohammed (BULDOZA) in a brief interview adjudged that the congress was indeed a very peaceful and successful one like the last ward congress. He thanked the PDP officials who came from the state headquarters to supervise the LG congress in Ganye for their neutrality to ensure free and fair exercise.
