Our attention has been drawn to a published online news from TGnews which is nothing but a sponsored move and a campaign of calumny in order to besmirch the altruistic good name of Sadiq Mohammed (WALI GANYE) who’s party unity is always his priority cum the internal party Democracy.
The party leaders and stakeholders who invited our correspondents expressed their unhappiness on how some of the political office holders in the party are trying to support illegality to suit their selfish interest. They spurred that, one Ayuba Mohammed who the news is claiming that addressed the gathering and boasting that, his boss, the Wali Ganye wish is the final in the party is not an APC card carrying member, whether Wali Ganye is his boss we don’t want to know. All what we know is that this is APC party affairs and somebody from other political party cannot be tolerated they concurred. According to them, the resignation of Jibril Tafida as the APC chairman of Ganye Local Government provided the opportunity for them to nominate and endorsed Alh Hamidu Gangneksumen as APC chairman for the 4th September Local Government congress. It could be recalled that Hamidu Gurum panwa was earlier nominated by the Ganye Local Government APC EXCO to act as the chairman of the party before the dissolution of the national working committee (NWC) of the APC. Party and stakeholders observed with dismay on how thirty (30) congress election forms mean for disbursement to twenty-seven party EXCO members and three national delegate were single handedly and wrongly given out to Mr. Augustine on the instruction of the member representing Toungo, Ganye, Jada and Mayo-Belwa Federal constituency. This is done without due consultation and prior-knowledge of the member representing Ganye constituency. In spite of this development, Mr. Augustine on arrival in Ganye with the forms failed to invite the twenty-seven member EXCO’s for the completion of the forms as instructed.
It is against this backdrop that the party leaders and stakeholders got disenchanted over the miss-management of the forms where eighteen members out of the twenty-seven were quickly replaced. out of the twenty-seven members proposed by Mr. Augustine, non is a Fulani Man. This means that the APC in Ganye is solely a chamba affair. In the light of this therefore a house divided against itself either by the spirit of ethnicity or religion is the house that cannot stand. As leaders and stakeholders, we want to say that this situation calls for caution cum the continues consultation with our elders. Party leaders and stakeholders rightly observed that the two elected representatives from Ganye were all voted twice by these present party executives in 2015 and 2019. If one of the two can choose to betrayed the trust and confidence reposed in him by the APC EXCO in Ganye, then the hope of chamba producing a Governor in 2023 will be a pipe dream or a mirage; such an elected representative who wants to bite the finger that feeds him should better swallow his pride and hold on to his money. This game is not only a game of money, but it is a display of integrity, reputation and credibility. We as party leaders and stakeholders of this great party wish to advise the honorable member who wants to spend his last kobo to impose a candidate of his choice on the party to spare his first and last kobo for the ostracize and neglected EXCO he failed to empower during his six years of legislative mess. This men and women of our great party have dedicated their time and energy in ensuring your first and second term in office. Any attempt by you or anybody to subvert the will of the people will be resisted vehemently.
In the light of the foregoing, we the undersigned bonafied members, wards exco, Local Government exco and stakeholders of the All Progressive Congress have deliberated at length, and agreed to nominate and endorsed Alh Hamidu Gangneksumen Gurum Panwa to contest the Local Government congress election of the APC as APC chairman Ganye Local Government area on 4th September 2021:
